Board Layout

Columns

The board is organized into columns by status. Open shows newly reported issues, In Progress displays issues actively being worked on, and Resolved contains completed issues.

Issue Cards

Each issue appears as a card displaying key information: the Issue Title, a Priority Indicator (color/icon), the Assignee Avatar, a count of Linked Products, and an Age Indicator.

Using the Board

Viewing and Moving Issues

You can scan columns to see the issue distribution, with cards ordered by priority within each column. Hover over cards for a quick preview. To change an issue's status, simply click and hold the card, drag it to the target column, and release. The status change is saved automatically.

Opening Details

Clicking on any issue card opens the full details view, where you can read the description, add comments, edit fields, and view the history.

Filtering

Use the search box to filter issues by Title, Description content, or Assigned User.

Priority Filter

You can filter by priority level to show only Critical issues, High and Critical issues, or All priorities.

My Issues Toggle

Toggle "My Issues" to show only issues assigned to you. This helps you quickly focus on your workload and see what needs your attention.

Creating Issues

From the Board

To create an issue, click Create Issue in the header, fill in the form, and submit. The new issue will appear in the Open column.

Quick Create

Some boards support inline creation. Click the + in a column header, enter a title, and press Enter. You can fill in the full details later.

Column Actions

Collapse/Expand

You can click column headers to collapse them. This reduces visual clutter, helps you focus on active work, and shows a count of hidden issues.

Column Limits

Some teams configure work-in-progress limits. The column will show the current count versus the limit. If the limit is exceeded, the column highlights to encourage finishing existing work before starting new tasks.

Keyboard Navigation

You can perform some actions via keyboard. Use ↑/↓ to navigate between cards, Enter to open the selected card, and Escape to close the card detail view.

Mobile Considerations

On smaller screens, columns may stack vertically. You can scroll horizontally for the full view and use touch-friendly gestures to drag and drop cards.

Best Practices

Workflow Management

Limit the size of the Open column by reviewing and prioritizing issues regularly. Move issues to In Progress quickly to avoid large backlogs. Focus on completing In Progress issues before starting new ones to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.

Triage and Assignment

Perform daily or weekly triage to close resolved issues, reprioritize the Open column, and update stale In Progress items. Always Assign issues to ensure clear accountability and enable the "My Issues" filter.

Integrations

Products, Alerts, and Meetings

Linked Products appear on issue cards, allowing you to click and navigate to see the impact. Issues created from Alerts show a source alert badge with a quick link back to the alert. Issues can also be referenced in Meeting action items to track governance discussions and connect operational issues to meetings.
