Keyboard Shortcuts

Speed up your workflow with these keyboard shortcuts available throughout the platform.

Global Shortcuts​

You can access key features from anywhere in the application. Press ⌘ K to open Global Search, which allows you to navigate to any entity. Press Escape to close any open modal, overlay, or search window.

When a modal dialog is open, you can quickly submit the form by pressing ⌘ Enter. To cancel and close the modal without saving, simply press Escape.

Look for keyboard hints in modal footers—they show available shortcuts for that context.

The primary navigation tool is the Global Search. Press ⌘ K and start typing to search for and immediately navigate to any entity in the platform.

Global Search Tips​

The Global Search (⌘ K) is a powerful tool for finding Data Products, Issues, Meetings, Source Systems, and Users.

Search Shortcuts​

To use the search, press ⌘ K to open the interface. Start typing to filter results, use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to navigate through the list, and press Enter to select an item. You can close the search at any time by pressing Escape.

Lineage Graph Navigation​

When interact with the lineage graph layout: use Scroll or Pinch gestures to zoom in and out, Click + Drag to pan across the graph, and Click on any node to select it and view its details.

Best Practices​

Learning Shortcuts​

Start by mastering ⌘ K, as it is the fastest way to navigate the platform. Keep an eye out for kbd hints in the UI to learn new shortcuts, and use ⌘ Enter to quickly save forms.

Productivity Tips​

Combine shortcuts for maximum efficiency: use ⌘ K to quickly find a product, fill out forms and save immediately with ⌘ Enter, and use Escape to quickly back out of overlays or menus.
